Winston provided excellent service for my wife and I. He did a great job pairing a bottle of wine with the short rib that I enjoyed. Both my wife and I were very impressed with Winston's service and were informed that he is the Assistant General Manager. Winston knows what he is doing and would suggest anyone ask for his service. About a month ago, we held our wedding at Governor's House. It was such a wonderful and easy day and experience! The food was amazing both on the day of and during our tasting. We recommend the Pork Shank Osso Bucco! The pork fell off the bone and that, paired with the parmesan risotto, was so delicious! But all the food we had there was great! The staff was so helpful, generous, and excited before and during the event. They organized the meal service, cleaned the event spaces, helped decorate, provided a tasting, and so much more. The GM, Jimmy, and the GM assistant were both so excited and had so much energy throughout the planning process and day of. Everyone made the wedding so easy and a lot less stressful so that we could just enjoy our day with our loved ones. You could tell that everyone working there took pride in the place and what they did. For everything that they did and for 20ish people to have a full wedding with a small reception, it was quite affordable. Plus the building is beautiful, well kept, and historic. Our loved ones were pleasantly surprised at how great everything was as well. We are so happy and grateful for all they did for us and the experience we will remember forever! GET MARRIED AT GOVERNOR'S HOUSE!! You'll be so please!

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining at The Governor’s House on Thursday night while in town for a convention. From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the beautifully restored space, rich with history and charm. The warm, cozy atmosphere made us feel right at home, but it was the outstanding staff who truly made the experience unforgettable. We opted to sit at the bar, having met the bartender, Lenise, at another establishment earlier in the week. What a fantastic decision! Lenise is exceptionally talented—her passion for mixology shines through in every drink she creates. She recommended a blackberry smash for me, and it was so good that I had to have a second. My husband was equally impressed with their extensive bourbon selection. The food did not disappoint either. As self-proclaimed bread snobs, we were thrilled with the bread plate—it was absolutely delicious. For our main course, we both had the chicken Parmesan, and it was exceptional—perfectly prepared and full of flavor. Without a doubt, this was the best dining experience of our entire week in town. Kudos to the entire team at The Governor’s House for making us feel like VIPs and delivering an unforgettable evening. We can’t wait to return!

An absolutely 5 star experience. From the incredible food to the exceptional service, Governors House was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in the greater Cincinnati area. Be sure to try the ravioli - they are perfection in a bite.

Wow where to begin. Our server was so amazing and never went missing. This place is upscale but approachable fine dinning. The meatballs were yummy. The chicken parm was so fantastic a great portion. But the real star was the braised short rib tortellini, just trust me order it it was melt in your mouth good I cannot recommend it enough. We got desserts to go that look and smell delicious. We will be back! Only only only negative is the bar height seating it’s uncomfortable but that’s a person preference! David was our server I believe! He was the best thank you so much you really made us feel like me h: your whole attention on a Super busy night! Also the hostess was prompt in greeting us and getting us seated and I noticed the general manager walking around greeting and checking in with customers and complementing his bartender and staff. Really appreciate the hands on management

Staff was warm and welcoming. Food was absolutely delicious. I would have been happy just to eat the Panzanella salad, but the entrees were even better. We got the filet and salmon. Both felt like they just melted in your mouth. Blackberry cocktail was great too. It's a laid back fine dining experience. Not only was the server checking on us, but the manager was as well the whole time we were there without being overwhelming.

I have Celiac and contacted the restaurant regarding a gluten free menu. They responded within the hour with their gluten free options. When I arrived, they had the gluten free menu available on the table. I was very impressed. David, our waiter, was great and very accommodating to my needs. Dinner was delicious!!!!

I went to Governor's House for the first time and sat out on the patio with my son. We had the most amazing dinner! Winston was our server and recommended the perfect wine to go with my short rib. The tiramisu was incredible and we can't wait to go back!
